Why
register your microchip?
When your pet is microchipped, it receives a special 15-digit unique number that identifies it.
But this number alone is not enough to locate the pet’s owner. The owner must also register this number along with their information in a registry. Without this registry, if the pet gets lost and someone finds it and scans the microchip, it will be impossible to know who the pet belongs to.
It’s like losing an item and not having your name on it, so no one knows who it belongs to.
The current problem
microchips?
In Quebec, many pets have a microchip to help them find their way home. But you know what? More than half of these microchips are not registered in a database! At Vetygo, we want to fix this problem.
Here’s how we help:
- Free registration: We’ve made an app that helps pet parents register their furry friends. It’s easy to use and you can find it on your phone in the App Store or Google Play Store. It guides you step by step and gives you lots of tools to take care of your pet.
- Intuitive : We know that not everyone is a tech expert, which is why we’ve made the registration process super easy! Even grandma can do it. The app is designed to guide you step by step. But if you need help, you can always ask your veterinarian, and they’ll be happy to assist you in registering your pet.
- Transition : If your pet already has a microchip from another company, no problem! We can still register it for free. It’s easy, and it gives you and your pet many benefits.
At Vetygo, our mission goes beyond just words. We are genuinely committed to helping pets stay safe and be found. Through our platform, focused on a unique experience, we strive to make microchip registration easy and beneficial.
How
Does Vetygo works ?
No matter which company made your pet’s tiny microchip, you can register it in our database!
When you register your pet, you get your own account. This allows you to view and update your information at any time. Additionally, you can use all our tools, such as the Neighborhood Alert, medical records, reminders, and more.
Once the microchip is registered, your superhero work is done. If your pet ever goes on an adventure and gets lost, the person who finds them can check the microchip number and find your information.
We partner with the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), the largest place to search for pet microchips in the country. This means that if your pet’s microchip is registered with us, it will appear in searches on aaha.org/petmicrochiplookup.
So, if your pet goes missing and is registered with us, it will be much easier for someone to find you! For more details, visit aaha.org/petmicrochiplookup.
